Before I get all long-winded and stuff, I have writing news!
(FYI: Best place to find me lately has been on Twitter, because I can send tweets while I'm on the bus or walking... blog posts tend to require 30-60 minutes.)
My short story, "Daha's Son" is out at Fantasy Magazine => Here!
This is my second professional short fiction publication. I'm writing novels in this setting, although I'm trying to finish a contemporary fantasy Earth-setting novel first. However, if you knew me Back Then, yes, it is That Project, and it Will Not Die. No, Not That Project... Yeah, That One. It Also Won't Die.
Fantasy will also post my Author Spotlight tomorrow.
Other news:
I've received two acceptances in the past two weeks, one from Intergalactic Medicine Show and one from Jennifer Brozek's Beauty Has Her Way anthology.
The first one got me my Active SFWA status, and the second was the first time I was invited to submit to an anthology with no open reading period.
So, I have three more stories due to come out this year:
"Shoes Worn Once" in Electric Velocipede #21, "A Well-Embroidered Heart" in Beauty Has Her Way, and "The Ghost of a Girl Who Never Lived" in Intergalactic Medicine Show.
"Shoes Worn Once" and "A Well-Embroidered Heart" both feature trans protagonists, and I look forward to* seeing them both in print.
I'm annoyed that I've been too busy to post for the past month, since I've wanted to do a follow-up to I Am A Transsexual, especially considering the completely overwhelming response to that post. I've also wanted to do one of those posts where I explain why I am so completely out of the loop (busy! busy!), but that might be a bit boring.
Okay, except for the part where I explain how transition has been going. (Well! For the most part.)

I'm glad to see that "Daha's Son" is out now. I really enjoyed listening to you read it at Norwescon.
Thanks - Laura :)
